Ivan Chavez

Ivan Chavez is currently a Mid-Level Software Engineer at FullStack Labs. Prior to that, they worked as a Java Software Developer at CodingNomads from February 2018 to May 2018. There, they were responsible for building RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, web applications using Spring MVC and Thymeleaf, and managing dependencies using Maven and Gradle. Ivan also persisted data using MySQL and object relation mapping with MyBatis and Hibernate, deployed projects on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with EC2 and RDS, used Ehcache for in-memory caching, and secured apps with Spring Security (Basic Auth, JWT) and a custom API Key implementation. In addition, they wrote unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.

From February 2019 to February 2021, Ivan Chavez worked as a Freelance Developer focused on developing full stack applications, including building RESTful APIs using Node.js & Express and developing Front End using React.js. Ivan also has experience deploying Applications to AWS and Heroku.

Ivan Chavez began their career as a Software Developer at Unix-Help S.A. from March 2012 to August 2015. Ivan then became an App Developer at Self-Employed from December 2011 to May 2013.

Ivan Chavez has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana León.
