Ashwin Altekar

Ashwin Altekar, MBA, serves as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Fullsteam since August 2023. With extensive experience in information security, Ashwin previously held positions at Amazon Web Services as Sr. Manager of Information Security and Compliance, and at Phreesia as VP, Head of Information Security, where Ashwin successfully led security development through private equity funding and an IPO. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor in CyberSecurity at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, where Ashwin developed a course that significantly contributed to the university's cybersecurity accreditation. Additional roles include Director of Information Risk Management at Express Scripts and Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Heartland Payment Systems, where Ashwin championed many significant security initiatives. Ashwin holds an MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
