Shawn Sloves has worked in the financial industry since 1997, beginning their career at Prudential Securities as a Trader in Capital Markets. In 1998, they moved to Onsite Trading as a Program Trading Proprietary Position Trader, where they utilized firm capital to automate trading of equities and derivatives with a short-term and long-term horizon. From 1999 to 2001, they worked at OptiMark as a Business/Analyst, and then at SunGard as the Senior Vice President and Head of DMA/EMS Product Manager. Here, they designed the user interface, business logic, and system architecture for a global multi-asset multi-broker. In 2006, they co-founded Mantara Inc., where they wrote the initial business plan, functional requirements, and business architecture for a high-speed market data feed and marketplace connectivity. In 2013, they co-founded Atlas ATS and served as a Board Member, dedicated to providing a secure, state-of-the-art technology exchange platform for transacting Bitcoins. In 2016, they joined the Delaware Board of Trade Holdings Inc. as a DBOT ATS Board Member. In 2017, they joined Velocity Ledger as Member Board of Directors and CEO, and in 2018, they joined Y2X ~ Global Partnership as an Advisor. Finally, in 2011, they co-founded Fundamental Interactions Inc., where they served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Shawn Sloves obtained a BS in Information Technology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Graduate degree in Economics from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications and Business from The Ohio State University.
