Kok Keong TAN

Kok Keong TAN has a wealth of experience in the real estate industry. Kok Keong started their career in 1996 as an Executive Research Officer at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA). During their time there, they were involved in many feasibility studies and led the development and successful launch of REALIS in 2000. In 2006, they joined the equity research team at Merrill Lynch as an Associate and provided industry intelligence on the real estate market. Kok Keong then moved to Pacific Star Group in 2008 as Vice President, Research & Strategic Planning, where they assisted the Head of Research to expand the research coverage to all key Asian markets and developed research products. In 2010, they joined OrangeTee. as Director, Research & Consultancy and set up the research team. Kok Keong was also responsible for the company's public communication channels in the media. In 2013, they co-founded Asian Acre Advisors, an asset management and consultancy firm in Yangon, and secured long-term advisory contracts with Shwe Taung Group. In 2014, they founded REMS Advisors Pte Ltd, a boutique consultancy firm to help clients with market entry strategies in South East Asian real estate markets. In 2015, they co-founded FundPlaces with a vision to enable people with limited funds to grow their wealth through real estate investments. Kok Keong built a high-performing team and introduced many groundbreaking products and services to the market, including Asia’s very first crowdfunding platform for real estate investments that is built on blockchain and the pioneering concept of tokenizing real estate investments. In 2020, they joined Kasa Singapore as Chief Real Estate Officer and Chief Business Officer, where they were responsible for originating real estate deals for listing on the Kasa, building an efficient ecosystem and structure for issuers to raise capital, and building a continual pipeline of new investment opportunities in Asia and beyond. In 2022, they plan to embark on a new adventure.

Kok Keong TAN completed a Bachelor of Science, Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in Estate Management from the National University of Singapore between 1992 and 1996. Kok Keong then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation from the Nanyang Technological University Singapore between 2007 and 2008. In 2020, Kok Keong TAN obtained a Real Estate Salesperson certification from the Council For Estate Agencies of Singapore (CEA). In 2022, they obtained CMFAS Module 1B (Rules & Regulations for Dealing in Securities), CMFAS Module 6 (Securities Products & Analysis), and CMFAS Module 6A (Securities & Futures Product Knowledge) certifications from IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore.
