Rachel McQuown

Rachel McQuown's work experience starts in 2013 when they worked as a Pitt Pathfinder for the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Neurological Surgery. In 2014, they became a Research Assistant, where they studied and wrote a senior thesis on gene therapy delivery for temporal lobe epilepsy and managed a brain tissue databank.

In 2015, Rachel joined UPMC as a Patient Care Technician and worked until 2018. After that, they joined Cvent as an Application Support Engineer, where they acted as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams and implemented GDPR compliance projects.

In 2019, Rachel moved to Avantus Federal (formerly known as Data Works) as a Data Analyst and Scrum Master. In this role, they developed programs to analyze unstructured data, managed two data science teams, and implemented agile processes for data analytic products.

Currently, Rachel is working at Fundrise since 2021, initially as a Technical Project Manager and is presently holding the position of Senior Delivery Lead.

Rachel McQuown earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016-2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neuroscience from the same university in 2011-2015. Rachel also holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance.
