Venkat Jaligama

Venkat Jaligama has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Redcentric, where they collaborated with peers on the development of automation tools and ensured system availability and performance. In 2016, they joined Arterra Mobility as an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer, where they led the migration of the application to AWS and introduced blue-green deployments.

In 2017, Venkat joined Capital One as an AWS DevOps Engineer and Python developer, contributing to multiple projects involving software development, DevOps, and monitoring. Venkat developed a web-based bulk loading ETL tool and integrated AWS infrastructure provisioning into Jenkins Pipelines.

In 2018, they joined Cloudistics as a DevOps Engineer, accelerating the migration to AWS for their SAAS Virtualization platform. Venkat co-led the design and implementation of a highly available and fault-tolerant application stack using various AWS services and infrastructure provisioning in Ansible and AWS CLI.

Currently, Venkat serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Fungible, Inc. In this role, they played a crucial role in creating a platform for the Fungible Controller from scratch and led the design and implementation of a highly available, self-healing Kubernetes platform. Venkat also fine-tuned the platform and third-party services to reduce Mean Time to Recover in HA failures.

Venkat Jaligama completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science at Sreenidi Institute of Science & Technology from 2004 to 2008. Venkat pursued further education and obtained a Masters in Information Systems from Wilmington University from 2016 to 2017.
