Valery Fregoso

Valery Fregoso has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They began their career in 2012 as a Promotions Coordinator for Saddleback College's Annual Fashion Show. They were responsible for managing promotional needs, acquiring sponsors, and producing marketing materials. In 2013, they worked as an Editor for the Irvine Valley College coverage in the student newspaper, The Lariat News. They covered campus events and designed the newspaper using Adobe InDesign.

In 2014, Valery interned at Modern Public Relations, where they worked with senior staff and the agency CEO on PR and social media needs for clients such as Pacific Edge Hotel and the California Strawberry Commission. They also interned at Valhalla Entertainment, a production company for AMC's The Walking Dead, where they created press releases, pitches, and maintained social media accounts.

Valery continued their internship experience at Paramount Pictures, assisting with worldwide marketing partnerships and licensing. They conducted competitive research, created pitch presentations, and helped manage global licensing deals. They also worked at OC Concert Guide as a Social Media and Content Writing Editor, generating content for the magazine and managing social media accounts.

In 2015, Valery joined Disney Parks, Experiences and Products as an Associate in the Lucasfilm Licensing division. They worked their way up to Manager roles in Consumables and Softlines Licensing, National Geographic, and 20C Fox. They later became the Manager of Softlines Licensing for National Geographic.

Most recently, Valery joined Funko in 2021 as a Manager of Licensing before being promoted to Senior Licensing Manager for Hardlines in October 2022.

Valery Fregoso began their education in 2010 at Irvine Valley College, where they studied without pursuing a specific degree or field of study. From 2011 to 2013, they attended Saddleback College, again without obtaining a degree or focusing on a particular field of study. Finally, from 2013 to 2015, Valery earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Chapman University.
