Felipe Mata

Felipe Mata has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry as well as in academia. Felipe is currently the Head of Studio at FunPlus, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Product at FunPlus starting in September 2022. From November 2021 to August 2022, Felipe was the Director of Central Product Management at FunPlus.

Before joining FunPlus, Felipe worked at ZeptoLab as the Head of New Games from August 2020 to November 2021. Prior to that, they spent several years at King, starting as a Data Scientist in October 2012 and eventually becoming a Senior Producer for various franchises, including the Candy Crush Franchise.

In addition to their gaming experience, Felipe also has a background in academia. Felipe worked as a Lecturer at La Salle BCN from May 2018 to August 2019. Prior to that, they were a Researcher and a Ph.D. candidate at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid from September 2008 to August 2012. Before entering academia, Felipe worked as a Telecommunication Engineering Assistant at Iberdrola Engineering and Construction from July 2006 to April 2007.
