Chris Ashe has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Chris began their career as a Developer at British American Tobacco, where they built a Content Management System and a SMS application. Chris then moved on to Beyond Software Development, where they worked as a Senior Consultant and played a key role in building ACDC, Commonwealth Bank's core DevOps system.
Later, Chris joined Tandem Bank as the Head of Engineering, where they were responsible for the delivery and operations of their websites, mobile applications, and backend systems. Chris also served as the Head of Server Engineering and a Lead Developer during their time at Tandem Bank.
After that, they joined Mox Bank as the Chief Technology Officer, where they built a new bank from scratch and led a distributed team of 150 engineers and architects. Chris was also the Chief Information Officer (Interim) at Mox Bank, where they were responsible for the technology budget and product management.
Following their tenure at Mox Bank, Chris became the Group Chief Technology Officer at EQONEX Group, where they oversaw technology across the group and led a department of 100 people. Chris was responsible for the development and operations of a low latency digital asset exchange with spot and derivative products.
Currently, Chris works as the Chief Technology Officer at Further Ventures, where they act as an institutional co-founder to startups, investing capital and dedicated resources across various functional capabilities. Chris works closely with founders from the idea stage to validate, prototype, and launch new companies.
Chris Ashe attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW) from 2000 to 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Science. Chris'sfield of study focused on Information Systems and Computer Science. In April 2005, Chris obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Thomson Prometric Testing.
