Joshua Clarke has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Joshua has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their versatility and adaptability. In 2006, they worked as an actor for Coleridge Productions until 2009. After that, they joined Sterts Arts Centre as a Pianist/Assistant MD for a few months in 2010. Following this, they worked as a Retail Assistant at Premier Stores from 2010 to 2014. During the same period, they also served as a Musical Director for Exeter University Gilbert and Sullivan Society. In 2013, they became the Musical Director for Richard Dale Theatre School, a position they held until 2017. From 2014 to 2015, they continued their role as Musical Director, this time for Moonstone Theatre Company. Joshua then transitioned to Hele's School, where they took on multiple roles, including Gifted, Talented and More Able Coordinator and KS3 English Coordinator. Additionally, they taught Latin at GCSE level and Year Nine music at the school. In 2015, they became a Theatre Reviewer for Broadway Baby. In 2020, they joined the National Association for the Teaching of English as the Chair of Secondary Working Group. Finally, in 2022, they became the Head of English and Media at Furze Platt Senior School.

From 1997 to 2010, they attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts, where they focused on acting, singing, and dance. Joshua also attended Musitech Studios from 1998 to 2010, where they specialized in piano.
