Dr. Dwayne Campbell has had a diverse range of work experiences. Dr. Dwayne is currently serving as a FUSE Corps Executive Fellow for the City of Durham Community Safety Department, where they collaborate with different cities to develop innovative community-focused pilots and alternative responses to emergency calls. Prior to this, they worked as a Notary Public for the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State. Dr. Dwayne also served as the Director of Postsecondary Access at the Emily Krzyzewski Center, leading program management and staff functions for their Game Plan: College program.
Dr. Campbell has a background in research and evaluation. Dr. Dwayne worked as a Senior Evaluator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, leading the evaluation efforts of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) federal grant and supporting program implementation around improved nutrition for working class families. Dr. Dwayne also served as the Director of Research, Analytics & Evaluation at the United Way of the Greater Triangle, where they evaluated the organization's investments in collaboratives and agencies addressing social challenges.
Earlier in their career, Dr. Campbell worked as a Program Evaluator for the Teen, Health & Success Partnership at the University of Rochester Medical Center, assessing program efficacy and streamlining organizational processes. Dr. Dwayne also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Rochester - Warner School of Education.
Prior to their work in the United States, Dr. Campbell served as the Dean of St. George's College and taught English at the institution.
