Jim Prenetta

Jim Prenetta has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal industry. Jim began their career as an Attorney at Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon from 1987 to 1994. Jim then joined Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, first as an Associate from 1994 to 1998, and later as a Partner from 1998 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2002, Prenetta served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Viatel Inc and Destia Comunications Inc. Jim also held the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Viatel from 1999 to 2003.

Prenetta then joined CTC Communications as SVP and General Counsel from 2004 to 2006. During this time, they also served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at One Communications Corp. from 2006 to 2009.

In 2007, Prenetta became a Board Member at Comptel, a position they held until 2009. From 2003 to 2017, they worked as the General Counsel at Hibernia Networks and served as Legal Counsel at Columbia Ventures Corp. from 2003 to 2017.

Finally, Prenetta is currently serving as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Fusion Connect since May 2014, previously known as Fusion Telecom.

Jim Prenetta attended Manchester High School from 1978 to 1980, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Jim then enrolled at the University of Connecticut from 1981 to 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Jim attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law from 1984 to 1987, although their specific degree and field of study are not stated.
