Didier Combescure

Technical Officer - Structural Dynamics (fo) at Fusion for Energy

Didier COMBESCURE is a seasoned technical officer specializing in structural dynamics at Fusion for Energy since December 2013, where Didier also serves as Chairperson of the F4E Staff Committee. With a longstanding commitment to earthquake engineering, Didier COMBESCURE has held various significant positions within the AFPS - Association Francaise du Genie Parasismique from 1997 to 2022, culminating in the role of Président du Conseil since September 2022. Prior to these roles, Didier COMBESCURE worked as a research engineer at EDF R&D and contributed to the dynamic and seismic structural analysis at Fusion for Energy from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, a research engineer at the Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique from 1997 to 2008, Didier COMBESCURE led the EMSI laboratory from 2007 to 2008. Educationally, Didier COMBESCURE holds a PhD in Structural Mechanics from CentraleSupélec, completed in 1996, and an engineering degree from the same institution with a focus on structural calculation.
