Rong Chao (Janet)

Rong (Janet) Chao is an experienced intern and researcher with a strong background in life sciences and bio-inspired innovation. Currently interning at Futura Gaïa since April 2023, Rong previously served as a Graduate Research Intern at Utrecht University, focusing on plant-environment signaling within a flooding research group. Prior experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher at National Cheng Kung University under Prof. Shu-Ying Wang, where Rong gained skills in plasmid construction and protein analysis. Additionally, Rong led a multidisciplinary team, Ricochet, on a sustainable PM2.5 filter project, and completed a summer internship at Genomics Bioscience & Technology Co., Ltd., where rotations encompassed various technological departments. Rong holds a Master of Science degree in Bio Inspired Innovation from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from National Cheng Kung University.
