Consumer Revenues Director: Planning & Operations at Future

Craig Niven has extensive work experience in the media and marketing field. Craig currently holds the position of Consumer Revenues Director: Planning & Operations at Future since March 2023, where they are responsible for driving revenue growth. Previously, they served as the Global Consumer Marketing Director at Future from February 2021 to March 2023. In this role, they were accountable for audience and revenue growth for a £100m business unit and led a global team of 30.

Prior to their time at Future, Craig worked at News Corp as the Global Commercial & Strategy Director for TLS from October 2018 to February 2021. In this position, they led a comprehensive business transformation program, successfully pivoting TLS from significant loss-making to break-even. Craig implemented a full rebrand of all TLS print and digital products and launched two new joint-venture businesses to expand global outreach.

Before joining News Corp, Craig was a Global Marketing & Strategy Consultant at Two Circles from October 2016 to October 2018. Craig worked closely with key clients such as NFL, ATP, and The Open to design and deliver successful data-led growth strategies. Craig delivered a global audience segmentation and valuation strategy for The Open and transformed NFL Game Pass from decline to double-digit growth through evidence-based campaigns and partnerships.

Craig also gained valuable experience at BT TV as a Senior Propositions Strategy Manager from May 2015 to October 2016. Here, they were responsible for developing the medium-term product and commercial TV roadmap. Craig successfully negotiated carrier agreements to expand the BT TV channel network.

Starting their career at Sky in 2010, Craig progressed from Marketing Executive to Senior Manager within 5 years. Craig'sresponsibilities included executing multi-million-pound campaigns, developing product and proposition growth strategies, and launching a start-up cycling-media brand (Velon) with Team Sky.

Craig Niven received a First Class with Honours degree in BA (Hons) Advertising & Professional Media from the University of Gloucestershire in the years 2004 to 2007. In 2011 to 2012, they obtained a Professional Diploma from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
