Iván Víquez Solórzano

Iván Víquez Solórzano has extensive work experience in project management, client services, and strategic consultancy. Iván is currently working as a Senior Project Manager at YOURS - Youth for Road Safety since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Client Services Director at FutureBrand starting from May 2021. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as an International Consultant, specializing in management, business, communications, marketing, branding, and digital marketing, providing mentorship and advisory services to organizations focused on social innovation, sustainability, policy-making, and human rights. Iván also served as an Advisor and Mentor at AUGE, an entrepreneurship agency and Costa Rican startup incubator. Previously, Iván worked as a Client Services Director at FutureBrand from November 2013 to April 2017, where they managed key accounts and led regional and multi-disciplinary teams for consulting projects in various sectors. Iván started their career as Global Head of Strategy & Communication at TECHO (Un Techo para mi País) from January 2011 to July 2013, shaping the organization's global communication strategy and overseeing regional and local teams. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at TECHO, including Brand Project Manager for Latam and the Caribbean and Director of Communications. Iván also gained experience as an Internship Journalist at Teletica Canal 7 and as a Journalist at Canal 15, Universidad de Costa Rica.

Iván Víquez Solórzano's education history is as follows:

- From 2019 to 2020, they pursued postgraduate studies in Prevention and Management of International Crises at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

- In 2018, they obtained a Diploma in Project Management from Greenwich College.

- Iván earned a Bachelor's degree in Collective Communication and Journalism from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.

- In 2006, they completed advanced studies in International Business/Trade/Commerce at Universidad Nacional.

- From 2003 to 2005, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Universidad Nacional.

In addition to their formal education, Iván Víquez Solórzano has also received additional certifications. In July 2020, they obtained a certification in International Organisations Management from the University of Geneva. In November 2019, they obtained a certification in Digital Marketing from Google Digital Workshops.
