John is in charge of the technologies, systems, and capabilities that enable G2 Ops clients to develop and integrate complex systems with predictable performance, cost, and schedule at an unprecedented levels of accuracy. John has instituted methodologies to deliver superior results based on analyzing clients’ existing systems performance and clarifying future productivity goals prior to beginning new development. His consulting practice leverages cutting-edge engineering tools and processes to guide clients through critical decisions and create success. His model-based approach and focus on engineering details has consistently extended clients’ budgets and created predictability for their capability development processes.
John has more than 33 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and at-sea testing of large complex submarine combat systems. His experience includes the introduction of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) products in the Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (ARCI) and Virginia Class Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems (NPES). He has expertise in systems engineering, integration programs, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies for complex system of systems for both the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) and Littoral Combat Systems platforms. John was awarded the prestigious DoD Architecture Excellence Award for his work bringing the MBSE approach to SWFTS.
John and his wife live and run a vineyard in the Shenandoah Mountains. He enjoys outdoor activities, rooting for the Hokies, Nationals, and Redskins, and spending family time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
