Hardware Engineer at Prolific Machines Inc.

Madeleine Allen is a hardware engineer at Prolific Machines Inc. and a former materials scientist at Malachite Technologies. Madeleine has a wide range of experience in analytical testing, operating industrial scale equipment, drafting grants and other written documents, and managing product development.

Madeleine co-founded Khepra, a clean energy company that developed a low-cost, portable fuel cell for use in developing countries. As Chief Product Officer, they were responsible for all aspects of product development, from research and development to manufacturing and quality control.

Under Madeleine's leadership, Khepra's products won multiple awards, including the Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy Innovation and the National Geographic Society/Buffett Award for Leadership in Conservation. Khepra was also named one of Time Magazine's 50 Best Inventions of the Year.

In October 2019, Madeleine left Khepra to join Malachite Technologies as a materials scientist. Madeleine worked with Malachite for just over a year before moving on to their current position at Prolific Machines Inc.

Madeleine Allen studied physics at UC Santa Barbara for their Bachelor's Degree. Madeleine then went on to study liberal arts and sciences/mathematics, science, engineering with an emphasis in design thinking at De Anza College. Madeleine completed a certificate program in design thinking at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Finally, they graduated from Homestead High School with a high school diploma.
