Babu Narayanan R

Babu Narayanan R has worked as a Director of Data Architecture at GAIN Credit since June 2021. In this role, they have transformed the organization's data, business intelligence, and analytics space by building a new Data BI stack and implementing self-service BI solutions.

Before joining GAIN Credit, Babu was a Co-Founder at Sentematix LLP from September 2018 to March 2021. During their time there, they bootstrapped a people analytics start-up, ran trials for multiple customers, and filed a patent for attrition prediction and retention simulation solutions.

Prior to Sentematix LLP, Babu worked at Verizon as a Principal Architect from 2015 to 2018. Babu Narayanan established the data architecture practice in the B2B space, refined data models for efficient data ingestion and delivery, and segregated revenue accounting and financial bookkeeping as a separate function.

From 2009 to 2015, Babu served as a Solution Architect at HCL Technologies Ltd. Babu Narayanan was also a Technical Architect at Infosys from 2007 to 2009. Earlier in their career, they worked at Tata Consultancy Services as an IT Analyst, where they built data marts, developed BI solutions, and built data warehousing solutions for various clients. Babu Narayanan was also a member of the Center of Excellence (CoE).

Babu Narayanan R holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree from Regional Engineering College, KU. Babu Narayanan also completed training in Advanced Analytics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from St. Joseph's College and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from St. Xavier's College. Babu has further obtained various certifications, including Enterprise Architecture Foundations from LinkedIn, Certified Android Developer Training from Simplilearn, StartUp India Learning Program from Startup India, Certified Business Intelligence Professional and Certified Data Management Professional from TDWI, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and certifications from Brainbench, The Open Group, Teradata, and others.
