Umegbewe Nwebedu

Umegbewe Nwebedu has a range of work experience in the technology industry. They began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at The Incubator Nigeria in 2019, where they focused on developing frontend features, designing REST APIs, and ensuring code quality.

In 2020, Nwebedu joined Cuberacks as a Backend & Infrastructure Engineer, where they worked on backend development and infrastructure optimization. They then moved to Cousant in 2022 as a DevOps Contractor, contributing to various projects.

In 2021, Nwebedu joined TCI as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they implemented CI/CD pipelines, deployed infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, improved CI pipeline efficiency, and estimated cloud costs using the AWS Pricing API.

Most recently, Nwebedu joined Gala in 2023 as a Full Stack Engineer.

Umegbewe Nwebedu attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from 2019 to 2024, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Alongside their academic studies, Umegbewe also obtained several certifications. In July 2021, they completed the "LFD103: A Beginner's Guide to Linux Kernel Development" certification from The Linux Foundation. Later, in December 2021, they achieved the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In September 2022, Umegbewe attained two additional certifications: "CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer" and "LFD 420: Linux Kernel Development and Internals," both accredited by The Linux Foundation.
