Sheryl Smith

Sheryl Smith has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Sheryl is currently the Chief Financial Officer at GALE PACIFIC LIMITED since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Polypore International from 2014 to 2021, where they held various positions including CFO, Vice President of Finance, Global Finance Director, and Global Manager of Financial Analysis. Their responsibilities at Polypore International involved overseeing the finance organization, strategic planning, M&A activities, and financial analysis. Before joining Polypore International, they worked at GETRAG as a Financial Analyst Team Leader and Sr. Financial Analyst from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they gained experience at PPG Industries as a Business Manager and Sr. Auditor from 2004 to 2008. Early in their career, they worked at Morgan Stanley as an Associate Vice President of Investments from 1998 to 2002.

Sheryl Smith pursued their education in a chronological manner. First, from 1992 to 1996, they attended Florida Atlantic University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and International Business. Following this, they enrolled at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business in 2002, where they pursued an International Business and Finance degree, completing it in 2004. During the same period, from 2003 to 2004, Sheryl also attended Escuela de Administracion de Empresas and obtained an MBA with a focus on International Business.
