Mason Qian

Mason Qian is a Forward Deployed Engineer at Galileo since September 2025, previously serving as a Software Engineer at Genies from January 2024 to September 2025, where Mason was the first backend engineer for the AI team. Prior to that, Mason worked at Saama as a Software Engineer from November 2021 to December 2023 and held the position of Web Development Assistant in the McNair Scholars Program at San José State University from August 2019 to May 2021, focusing on website design and multimedia graphics. Earlier experiences include an internship at Alpha Energy Management, Inc. where Mason developed a temperature monitoring system, and positions at Shen Research Group and Complete Genomics Inc., contributing to solar cell research and quality control methods for genetic sequencing, respectively. Mason holds a Master of Science in Software from San José State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
