Renato Braz

Renato Braz serves as the Head of Corporate Venture Capital at Galp since February 2021, focusing on managing a venture fund and direct investments to support the company's transition to a low carbon future, with particular interests in the lithium-ion battery value chain, energy storage, green hydrogen, and e-mobility. Additionally, Renato is a Business Angel at COREangels Lisbon and previously held the role of Investment and Business Creation Manager for Portugal at InnoEnergy from 2014 to 2021, where responsibilities included managing early-stage climate tech investments. Earlier experience includes program direction at Cleantech Camp, co-founding Slägen & Zonen, and various managerial roles in brand development and operations in multiple organizations. Renato holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from The Lisbon MBA Católica | Nova, along with executive education from prestigious institutions such as IESE, Esade, and MIT Sloan School of Management.
