Michelle Machuca

Michelle Machuca has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Michelle started their career at Guidant, where they worked as a Sr Field Clinical Rep and later as a Sr Research & Development Engineer. At Guidant, they played a crucial role in training new centers on heart failure therapy and supported device implants and follow-ups, as well as led a team to develop and commercialize a new brachytherapy product.

Michelle then moved on to Medtronic, where they held various positions, including Senior Global Marketing Manager for TAVR and Upstream Marketing Manager for New Therapies Business Strategy & Product Planning. During their time at Medtronic, they led the global marketing and commercial expansion for TAVR, achieved market share leadership, and increased product adoption. Michelle also played a key role in the acquisition integration of CoreValve and Ventor. In addition, Michelle identified unmet clinical needs and conducted market research to develop and launch new products.

After Medtronic, Michelle joined Sorin Group as the Director of Marketing and Commercial Operations. In this role, they built and managed the US marketing team, developed and implemented strategic and operational plans for sales growth, and implemented a sales training program to increase productivity.

Following their time at Sorin Group, Michelle joined St. Jude Medical as the Director of Marketing, C-Suite. Michelle was responsible for developing marketing strategies and messages that emphasized the clinical and economic benefits of the company's product lines. Michelle also managed the Customer Educational Visit program.

Next, Michelle worked at TVA Medical, Inc. as the Sr. Director of Marketing and Reimbursement. Michelle successfully established reimbursement for a novel procedure within a short period and developed a reimbursement strategy in Germany, achieving expanded reimbursement and enabling commercialization in a previously untapped market.

Most recently, Michelle has held roles at Galvanize Therapeutics, Inc. and Gala Therapeutics. Michelle served as the VP Marketing & Reimbursement at Galvanize Therapeutics and currently holds the position of Vice President of Marketing & Reimbursement at Gala Therapeutics.
