Dominick Whelan

Dominick Whelan is an experienced community representative and executive leader with a focus on economic, cultural, and community development. Currently serving on the Strategic Policy Committee for Economic, Culture and Community Development at Galway City Council since July 2019, Dominick also holds multiple roles within JCI Galway, including President and Member, where notable achievements include overseeing the JCI Friendly Business Awards. As Managing Director of San Aer Teo., Dominick has led initiatives in adventure sport tourism that benefit local communities. Dominick's background includes a range of positions in both the public and private sectors, extensive involvement in mentorship programs, and contributions to environmental initiatives. Domnick holds an MBA in Business and Hospitality Management and various other academic qualifications in community development, innovation, and hotel management.
