Owen McGuire

Owen McGuire is an experienced fire safety professional with a diverse background in engineering and fitness. Currently serving as the Assistant Chief Fire Officer for Galway County Council since August 2019, Owen has previously held positions as a Fire and Safety Officer with the Health Service Executive and Senior Fire Safety Engineer at ORS. Owen's expertise includes developing fire safety strategies, conducting fire risk assessments, and obtaining Fire Safety Certificates. Earlier career roles include positions as a Gym Instructor and Supplement Advisor, alongside a foundational experience as a Student Engineer. Owen holds a Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering from Ulster University and dual Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Galway.
