Vanessa Cubillo Patricio

Vanessa Cubillo Patricio has a diverse background in HR and operations. Vanessa currently holds the position of Head of People Services at Gamma, a role they began in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at DAZN Group as the Global People Services Partner, responsible for managing various people processes across multiple countries.

Vanessa also has experience at Wavemaker as Operations, Reward and Talent Lead, UK, where they managed a team and oversaw the consolidation of employee data onto a single database. Vanessa has also held roles at Channel 4, where they worked as HR Operations Team Lead and HR Assistant Team Lead, managing payroll, HR systems, and various HR projects.

Earlier in their career, Vanessa worked at the Parliamentary Digital Service as a Senior HR & Development Advisor and HR and Development Advisor. Vanessa gained experience in process improvement, recruitment, and employee support. Vanessa also has experience working at the House of Commons as an HR and Freedom of Information Assistant and a Banqueting Coordinator.

Additionally, Vanessa has experience outside of the HR field, having worked as a Wine Shop Manager at O'Brien's Wine Group Ltd and as the Proprietor/Manager of Vamos de tapas.

Vanessa Cubillo Patricio has a diverse education history. In 1994, they attended the University of Sociology in La Coruña, Spain where they earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Sociology with a first-class designation. From 2000 to 2002, Vanessa attended The Gornall School of English and achieved Intermediate and Advanced Cambridge Certificates in English. In 2009, they enrolled at Westminster Kingsway College and completed a Certificate in Personnel Practice, which granted their an Associate CIPD membership. In 2013 and 2014, they pursued a Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management from the House of Commons. Vanessa furthered their education in 2016 by attending The Ken Blanchard, where they studied Situational Leadership with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Finally, in 2018, they obtained a Strengthscope Practitioner Certificate from Strengthscope, specializing in Energizing Peak Performance and Engagement, as well as Optimizing Strengths.
