Kaila Hale-Stern

Kaila Hale-Stern has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Kaila is currently working as the Director of Content at GAMURS Group, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Managing Editor at The Mary Sue from March 2017 to December 2022.

Before their current roles, Kaila worked as a Freelance Writer starting in October 2006. In 2016, they joined Samsung Accelerator as a Content Manager, and they were employed at Gawker Media as a Senior Writer for Gizmodo from February 2015 to January 2016.

Kaila also has experience working at Tumblr as Trust & Safety personnel from September 2013 to February 2015 and at Singularity&Co. as a Social Media Manager from June 2012 to October 2013.

Kaila'searlier work experience includes being a Community Manager at Gawker Media from 2006 to 2012, an English Dept. Assistant at Macalester College from September 2004 to June 2006, and an Intern at Murphy PR from June 2004 to August 2004. Kaila'sfirst work experience was as an Apprentice at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the summer of 2001.

Kaila Hale-Stern attended Macalester College, where they obtained a BA degree in English. Kaila also studied at The Spence School. Kaila furthered their education at The University of Edinburgh in the field of English and History.
