Tony Simmons

Tony Simmons has been in the publishing business for over 25 years. Tony began their career as a Circulation Director for the Journal Register Company in January 1994. Tony was promoted to Corporate Circulation Director in December 2001 and reported to the President & CEO of the company.

In their role as Corporate Circulation Director, Tony was responsible for evaluating revenue/expense plans, leading daily operational needs, capital projects, acquisition opportunities, and managing new product launches for the circulation division. Tony also negotiated collective bargaining agreements for represented workgroups in the circulation division.

Tony Simmons is currently VP, Publishing Operations at Gannett.

Tony Simmons has a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Penn State University.

Their manager is Wayne Pelland, SVP, Publishing Operations. They work with Jack Saunders - VP, Publishing Services, Patrick Dorsey - VP, Regional Publishing Operations.
