Zach Augenfeld

Zach Augenfeld, PhD, is a seasoned engineer specializing in software and systems development within the biomedical and diagnostics fields. Currently serving as a Senior Scientific Software Engineer at Ganymede, Zach has previously held senior engineering roles at 454 Bio and Detect, where expertise included designing firmware for next-generation sequencing instruments and developing data analysis tools for qPCR and fluorescence imaging. A former Graduate Student Research Assistant at Yale University, Zach contributed to significant advancements in real-time imaging alignment and deep learning for medical applications. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
