Robert Goedken

Robert Goedken has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert currently holds the position of General Counsel at Garda Capital Partners, a role they started in 2023. Prior to that, they served as Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel at Garda Capital Partners from 2016 to 2022.

Before joining Garda Capital Partners, Robert worked at Black River Asset Management for a substantial period. Robert occupied the role of Chief Operating Officer from 2010 to 2016, where they oversaw various functions and departments ranging from Legal and Compliance to Technology and Risk Management. Robert was also Secretary of the Black River Board of Directors and a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee during this time. From 2006 to 2010, Robert served as Chief Legal Officer at Black River Asset Management, where they were responsible for managing the legal, tax, and compliance functions. Robert also played a key role in fund structuring and formation as well as investor negotiations.

Before their tenure at Black River Asset Management, Robert served in various legal positions at Cargill. Robert worked as a Senior Lawyer from 2000 to 2006, providing legal services related to investment activities and the transformation of the Global Capital Markets business unit. Prior to that, they held the position of Lawyer from 1998 to 2000, and started their career at Cargill as a Lawyer from 1995 to 1998.

Throughout their career, Robert Goedken has showcased their expertise in legal and operational management, playing integral roles in the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

Robert Goedken holds a Juris Doctor degree specializing in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Marquette University.
