Tara Fillion

Art Director at Gardiner Museum

Tara Fillion is an Art Director at the Gardiner Museum. Tara has also worked as a Publications Editor and Designer at the Canadian Film Centre. In this role, they were responsible for the design and execution of all publications for the 2012 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival. This included the festival program guide, promotional postcards, outgoing advertisements, festival on-screen preshows, digital marketplace catalogue, e-newsletters, industry guides/flyers, various signage and other branded paraphernalia for use during the festival. Creating these publications required following strict deadlines and the ability to adapt to any problems that arose in production. During the production process, they were also responsible for delegating secondary tasks to the print production assistant in the weeks leading up to the festival. In this position, they also worked with the CFC marketing department, print suppliers, festival programmers and sponsors/partners ensuring that all parties were satisfied with the content produced for the festival. During the Festival itself, they assisted the Festival Manager with operations including daily support for staff and volunteers and management of any problems that arose at the Festival’s multiple venues.

Tara Fillion has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography Studies from Ryerson University and a High School Diploma from Lakeshore Catholic High School.

Tara Fillion reports to Kelvin Browne, Executive Director & CEO. They work with Bo Wang-Frape - Chief Financial Officer, Sequoia Miller - Chief Curator & Deputy Director, and Nick Klassen - Security & Events Assistant Manager.
