Shaneia Smith

Shaneia Smith is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in counseling and instructional leadership within the Garland Independent School District. Serving as a School Counselor since August 2022, Shaneia previously held the position of LPAC Lead from June 2018 to June 2022, focusing on enhancing academic language growth for English Learners and other subpopulations. Shaneia's career in education began as an Educator at Rowlett High School from August 2008 to May 2018 and as an English Teacher and Drill Team Director at Nacogdoches High School from August 2006 to May 2008. Shaneia holds a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Lamar University and a Master's degree in Secondary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, where a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts was also earned.
