Maheen Ahmad

Maheen Ahmad is a seasoned research professional currently serving as a Senior Principal at Gartner since August 2024. Previously, Ahmad worked as a Research Fellow at the Energy Futures Initiative and held the role of Program Manager at the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) from December 2019 to May 2023. Earlier experience includes positions such as Senior Research Associate at Hanover Research and Researcher/Contractor at Foreign Policy. Additional roles include Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Coordinator at the Sustainable Energy Coalition and Clean Energy Researcher at the Environmental Defense Fund. An internship at the International Trade Administration focused on trade policy for environmental technologies, while research at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies concentrated on energy policy and international development. Ahmad holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and International Relations with a focus on Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Florida.
