Giorgia Scapin

Chief Scientific Officer at Garuda Therapeutics

Giorgia Scapin has been working in the research and development field since 2015. Giorgia began as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they worked for five years. In 2018, they moved to The Ohio State University College of Medicine and continued their work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2020, they returned to Harvard Medical School and resumed their role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Most recently, in 2021, they accepted a position as the Vice President of Research & Development at Garuda Therapeutics.

Giorgia Scapin obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2009. Giorgia then completed their Master's Degree in Molecular Biology at the same institution in 2011. During this time, they also completed an Erasmus Internship for master's thesis research at the Universidad de Murcia from September 2010 to June 2011. Giorgia Scapin then obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioscience and Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Padova in 2015. Giorgia is currently attending Harvard Medical School.
