Kim Loh has a strong background in medical research, primarily in the field of biology. In 2012, they started working as a Postdoctoral Research Officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Kim then moved on to the St. Vincent's Institute of Medical research in 2015, where they held the position of Senior Research Officer. In this role, they carried out independent research, acted as a Principal Investigator or project leader, and developed proposals for major research projects. Kim also produced high-quality research outputs and made presentations at national or international conferences. Additionally, Kim Loh is currently serving as a Lab Head at the St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research since 2019.
Kim Loh completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Monash University from 2005 to 2008. They also obtained a PhD in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology with a focus on Metabolic Neuroscience from the same institution. Prior to attending Monash University, Kim Loh graduated from Chung Ling (National Type) High School with a High School degree. Additionally, they completed a Foundation degree at Trinity College, the University of Melbourne.
