Linda Dansereau

Linda Dansereau has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Linda currently holds the position of Microscope Facility Manager at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Officer at the same institute, where they established a facility to study the impact of mitochondrial drugs on muscle health and longevity. Linda also developed an analysis pipeline to detect and quantify components of the NAD metabolic pathway in muscle tissue.

Before joining the Garvan Institute, Linda served as a Research Scientist at Stanford University and as a Research Intern at Microsynbiotix, Ltd. Linda also worked as a Post-Doctoral Scientist at the Children's Medical Research Institute, where they conducted research on synaptic vesicles and bulk endocytosis. Linda'srole involved investigating the steps involved in the conversion of bulk endosomes to synaptic vesicles.

Linda began their career as a Research Assistant at Neuroscience Research Australia, where they conducted immunohistochemistry experiments and developed techniques for hippocampal culture and live imaging. Linda also worked as a PhD candidate at McGill University, focusing on the regulation of mRNA transport in dendrites. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Calgary and as a Co-op student at BioChemPharma and JR Laboratories Inc.

Linda Dansereau's education history began in 1996 when they received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology and Chemistry from The University of British Columbia. Linda furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary, which they completed in 2004.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Linda obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroscience from McGill University in 2010.
