Ashli Watts

Ashli Watts has a diverse work experience that spans across different industries and roles. Ashli is currently serving as an Impact Director at Gateway Public Schools since September 2022. Prior to this, Ashli worked as a Writer and Content Reviewer at EBSCO Information Services starting from January 2021. From September 2018 to August 2022, they held the position of Director of Teacher Support at OneGoal. Ashli also participated in the Surge Fellowship program at the Surge Institute from September 2019 to August 2020, where they focused on developing emerging leaders of color in education. Before that, they worked as a Training and Development Specialist/Trainer at The Posse Foundation from December 2015 to August 2018. Ashli's previous roles include Assistant Principal Project Manager & Family Liaison at Urban Prep Academies, Girl World Program Facilitator at Alternatives, Inc., Summer Service Partnership Team Lead at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Check & Connect Monitor at SGA Youth & Family Services, and School Completion Program Manager at JOLIET TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT #204.

Ashli Watts earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from DePaul University from 2006 to 2010. Ashli'sfield of study included Sociology, Women & Gender Studies, and Community Psychology. Ashli then pursued a Masters of Arts (MA) in Administrative Social Work/Social Policy from the University of Chicago, which they completed from 2013 to 2015.
