Audrey Dewes

Audrey Dewes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Audrey began their professional career in 2010 as a Marketing and Recruiting Intern at Hub Group, where they created marketing materials and developed the company's social media presence. Audrey then worked as a Researcher at Purdue University from 2010 to 2011, conducting background research and interviewing participants for studies on personality traits and eating disorders. Following that, they served as an Assistant Office Manager at Purdue University from 2009 to 2011, handling alumni data and organizing events.

In 2011, Audrey worked as a Teaching Assistant at Saint Louis University, where they taught public speaking and created assignments and lesson plans. Audrey then joined St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2013 as an Administrative Assistant in the Liberal Arts Division until 2017. In addition, they worked as an Instructor at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, teaching Healthcare Communication to pharmacy students from 2014 to 2017, creating curriculum-based activities and assessments.

Audrey also held the role of Literacy Engagement Manager at Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women from 2017 to 2018. Audrey then became an Adjunct Instructor at Vatterott Education Center from 2018, facilitating communication courses for adult learners and utilizing online learning management systems.

Since 2018, Audrey has been associated with Gateway Region YMCA. Audrey initially served as the Manager of Leadership Development and Staff Engagement, where they planned and hosted events for staff, developed content for new employee orientation, and facilitated monthly orientation sessions. Audrey currently holds the position of Director, Learning and Engagement, where they continue to contribute to the staff's learning and engagement initiatives.

In 2023, Audrey is expected to join the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis as a Healthcare Communication Instructor for a brief period from January to May.

Audrey Dewes earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Human Relations from Purdue University in 2011. Audrey also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the same institution during the same period. From 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication with a specialization in Interpersonal Communication at Saint Louis University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the following: Youth Mental Health First Aid USA certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in March 2022, Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research certification from CITI Program in January 2021, and Managing Stress for Positive Change certification from LinkedIn in 2020. In 2013, they earned a Certificate in University Teaching Skills, although the institution is unspecified.
