Sarah Woolway currently serves as the Head of Legal & Business Affairs for Gaumont in the UK. Sarah has over fifteen years of experience in Business and Legal Affairs, having worked previously for both the BBC Worldwide and BBC Worldwide Americas.

Sarah began their career at the BBC Worldwide Americas as a Legal Counsel in 2006. Sarah was promoted to Head of BLA, Content Partnerships & Brands (Scripted) in 2006, and oversaw a team which expanded from four to seven members during their tenure. In this role, Sarah was responsible for business and legal affairs for the scripted genres in BBC Studios' Content Partnerships and Brands divisions.

Some of the notable projects Sarah worked on during their time at the BBC include: investing in indies and other independent producers, negotiating a series of innovative arrangements to secure BBC Studios content pipeline, and working with the Comedy, Drama, and Children's genre teams.

Sarah's work has been praised by their peers, and they have been recognised as an expert in their field. In May 2022, they were poached by Gaumont to serve as their Head of Legal & Business Affairs in the UK.

Sarah Woolway completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at De Montfort University.
