Yvonne Ainsworth

Yvonne is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), RoGEP Adviser, as well as an experienced ICE Reviewer. She is a Geotechnics, deep foundation and basement construction specialist with over 20 years’ experience and an eye for detail. During her career she was involved in a great variety of projects and positions. Her career has switched numerous times between consulting and contracting. She was heavily involved in concept, tender and detailed designs, as well as the estimating and construction/execution of projects.

With a proven track record in the delivery of major foundation projects and the execution of rather complex projects (D-shaped pile at Tottenham Court Road Station and possession works on S105, M8 Improvement works), she specialises in supporting the construction industry in all areas of the construction processes including project feasibility assessment and technical development, tender preparation, construction advice, incident investigations and project management with the aim of improving overall efficiency and performance.

Within the industry, she is recognised as a strong leader and is passionate about taking the geotechnical industry to a new level. Her strength is to solve technical challenges and develop effective and practical solutions, focusing on Client’s needs, programme, price, and buildability.

In GDG, she also holds the responsibility for all matters relating to Human Resource Management (HR).
