Jason Hemak

Chief Information Officer, Customer Experience at GE Aerospace

Jason Hemak has extensive work experience in the technology and information management field. Jason started their career at GE Aerospace in 2004, where they completed various rotational assignments in IT project management and infrastructure. During this time, they received a Corporate Recognition Award for their outstanding leadership and impact.

In 2006, Hemak became an IT Project Manager at GE Aviation, leading multiple projects related to product configuration and change management, which resulted in significant engineering productivity improvements. Jason also served as the ERP Integration Leader, leading a team to implement software integrations between Enovia PLM and ERP systems for multiple units of GE Energy.

In 2010, Hemak took on the role of IT Program Manager for the GE-AVIC Joint Venture, where they successfully delivered all GE IT contractual obligations on time, enabling the formation of the GE-AVIC Civil Avionics JV in Shanghai. Jason received an award from the President & CEO of Aviation Systems for their leadership and contributions to this business priority.

From 2012 to 2013, Hemak served as the IT Leader for Aviation Systems Sales & Avionics at GE Aviation, implementing Salesforce.com for Aviation Systems and providing strategic IT leadership for the Avionics business.

In 2013, Hemak became the IT Leader for the Oracle ERP Deployment at GE Aviation, leading the implementation of Oracle ERP for Grand Rapids & Clearwater, the largest Aviation Systems sites in North America. Jason also played a key role in eliminating a non-strategic ERP system, supporting GE Aviation's Board of Directors commitment for General Ledger reduction.

From 2015 to 2016, Hemak served as the Chief Information Officer for Finance, HR, Avionics, and BGA-IS at GE Aviation. During this time, they led the implementation of enterprise standards and delivered significant improvements to the supply chain planning process and financial reporting systems.

In 2016, Hemak transitioned to GE Additive, where they established and led the Digital Technology function as the Chief Information Officer. Jason integrated three acquisitions and defined and delivered a multi-year vision for contemporary, cloud-based platforms covering all functions of the business.

Lastly, Hemak returned to GE Aerospace in 2019 as the Chief Information Officer for Customer Experience. Jason is currently responsible for the digital technology strategy for the GE Aviation commercial aircraft engines business, with a focus on engine monitoring and diagnostics, asset data acquisition and management, and digital customer experience.

Jason Hemak earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy for their high school education. Jason has also obtained several certifications, including the Deloitte US Next Generation CIO Academy, Experienced Information Management Leadership Program (EIMP), Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP), and Six Sigma Green Belt, from institutions like Deloitte and GE.
