Richard Owen

Richard Owen is the Senior Product Manager at Gearset. Richard has over two years of experience in product management, including full control of the product management lifecycle and agile product ownership. Richard has also spearhead the development of a new group of products utilizing nascent technology.

Richard Owen started their career at FIS in January 2019 as a Product Manager. Richard was responsible for setting the direction of product development, balancing the requirements of existing clients, prospective clients and internal stakeholders. Richard was also responsible for taking new products to market, product sunset and strategy to migrate clients off legacy platforms. In 2020, they won Risk.net Risk Dashboard of the year for their work on a breakthrough Web UI and dashboarding product.

Richard Owen is a talented and experienced product manager who has demonstrated success in developing and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Richard is a strategic thinker who can see the big picture and develop long-term plans to achieve objectives. Richard is also an effective communicator who can rally team members around a shared vision and goal.

Richard Owen's educational career includes obtaining a Master's degree in Experimental and Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge, as well as a PhD in X-ray and Observational Astronomy from the University of Leicester. Richard also has a certification from Scrum.org in Professional Scrum Master.
