Sajjad Meymand

Sajjad (Saji) Meymand is an experienced data scientist with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Currently employed at Lyft as a Data Scientist since September 2022, Sajjad previously held the positions of Manager and Senior Data Scientist at GEICO from July 2019 to September 2022. Prior to that, Sajjad worked at ENSCO, Inc. as a Senior Engineer/Project Manager from June 2016 to July 2019, focusing on machine learning, control, and data science while developing predictive models and optimization algorithms for railway vehicle parameters. Academically, Sajjad earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2015, alongside a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
