From May 2019 to December 2022, Trudy-Ann served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Central Florida. In this role, they collected and evaluated precise data for research posters and presentations, performed infection assays using animal models, and prepared materials for grant submissions. Trudy-Ann also held the position of Laboratory Manager from February 2018 to December 2022, where they oversaw inventory and managed relationships with vendors to ensure the timely ordering and delivery of equipment and supplies. Additionally, from August 2018 to May 2019, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the university.

Trudy-Ann's previous experience includes working as a Substitute Teacher at Somerset Academy Miramar Charter School from December 2016 to June 2017 and as a Lab Instructor at I Know Science Inc. from December 2016 to 2017. In these roles, they developed protocols and manuals for experiments, managed laboratory equipment and consumables, and prepared reports and teaching assignments.

Before that, they held multiple positions at Fairleigh Dickinson University. From January 2015 to June 2016, they worked as a Science Computer Laboratory Assistant and a Resident Assistant. Additionally, from January 2015 to December 2015, they served as a Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Assistant. Moreover, Trudy-Ann worked as a Science Academy Resident Assistant/Teaching Assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson University and BASF in July 2015, where they mentored high school students in laboratory work and led science and business workshops.

In 2013 and 2014, they worked as a Lab Instructor at I Know Science Inc., where they facilitated laboratory activities. Trudy-Ann also gained experience as a part-time teacher and subject tutor in biology, chemistry, and algebra at Huntington Learning Center from September 2013 to June 2014.

From August 2011 to April 2013, Trudy-Ann held various positions at Florida International University, including Resident Assistant, Conference Assistant, Senior Desk Assistant, and Mail Assistant.

Trudy-Ann Grant began their education in 2008 at Florida International University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Chemistry. Trudy-Ann attended from 2008 to 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, Trudy-Ann Grant continued their education at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Health Science. Finally, from 2017 to 2022, they attended the University of Central Florida and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in Molecular Microbiology.
