As a Plumbing Estimator, your primary role will be to accurately and efficiently estimate project costs related to plumbing installations. You will play a crucial part in the pre-construction phase, ensuring that bids are prepared with precision and in a timely manner. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Work with design
  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
  • Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
  • prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers
  • Provide estimates on new installations and service contracts of plumbing systems
  • Consult with customers/businesses to provide solutions and information on their plumbing related inquiries
  • Complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
  • Self generate 25% of leads

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Plumbing systems
  • Proven experience as a Plumbing Estimator or Previous sales experience
  • Proficiency in using estimation software, including Trimble Estimations, Excel, and industry-specific tools.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Superior customer service skills and strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and goal oriented
