Reinier Buis

Reinier Buis serves as the Afdelingshoofd at Gemeente Nieuwegein since March 2022, leading the Geynwijs department which supports residents in daily life through various teams focusing on upbringing, social contacts, care, housing, and organization. Prior to this role, Reinier was Sector Manager at Pantar, overseeing one of the organization's five sectors, and previously held positions as Manager Verkoop, focusing on commercial processes and strategy development. Reinier's earlier experience includes roles such as Commercieel manager at Conclusion Implementation, where responsibilities spanned sales, operational management, and HR, as well as Senior Account Manager and Key Accountmanager roles at Conclusion. Reinier began a career in sales at Unisys and worked as Corporate Accountmanager at Arbo Unie, advising businesses on health and safety improvements. Academically, Reinier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerciële Economie from Hanze University and further education from the University of Groningen.
