Anastasia Filippova

Anastasia Filippova is a dedicated music educator with extensive experience in teaching and coordinating programs. Currently serving as a PYP Music Teacher at GEMS International School - Al Khail since August 2015, Anastasia focuses on fostering creativity and curiosity in children through the inquiry-based IB Program. Prior roles include Programs Coordinator and Education Coordinator at ABC Association, where responsibilities included event coordination and enhancing children's literacy and numeracy skills. Additionally, Anastasia has taught Language Arts, Geography, and History at Nile Academy and has experience teaching English in Turkey. Anastasia began teaching music with private piano and vocal lessons in 2005 and has also worked as an occasional teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Music from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa.
