Geoffrey Benton

Geoffrey Benton has a long history of working in the field of product development. Geoffrey began their career in 2006 as the Executive Director of the UCSF Innovation Accelerator, where they organized and led the 2007 Global Life Science Innovation Competition. In 2008, they became an Associate at QB3 New Ventures Consulting, followed by a Venture Capital Intern at Burrill & Company in 2010. Later that same year, they joined 23andMe as the Director of Product R&D, then as a Product Manager and Senior Scientist of Health Content. In 2022, they took on the role of Head of Product at Gencove.

Geoffrey Benton obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Microbiology from Brigham Young University between 1998 and 2003. Geoffrey then went on to pursue a PhD in Cell Biology at the University of California, San Francisco from 2003 to 2009.
