Dominik Mertens

Dominik Mertens has worked for two companies in their career. Dominik started at the Center for Biological Systems Analysis (ZBSA) in 2008, where they held the position of Research Fellow until 2012. In 2013, they joined Genedata as a Scientific Account Manager and later became the Group Lead for Scientific Account Management. Since January 2021, they have been serving as the Head of EU Scientific Account Management - Expressionist at Genedata.

Dominik Mertens has an extensive education history in the field of Bioinformatics and Genome Research. Dominik began their educational journey at Bielefeld University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Bioinformatics and Genome Research from 2002 to 2005. Building upon their undergraduate education, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from Bielefeld University from 2005 to 2008. Dominik then further advanced their education by attending The University of Freiburg between 2008 and 2013, where they obtained a prestigious doctoral degree, known as Dr. rer. nat, in Bioinformatics.
